Multi layered polythene bags are the major bags well used in food industry packaging and also in agriculture and horticulture packaging such as packaging and transportation of soil and peat. Multi layered bags are made of two bags placed one into another due to their special outer surface so strong binding force arises which hinder slipping on each other. Due to the strength of plastic bags, there are divided into two different types:
- 1, 2 layers bags. The difference between one and two – layered film is that for two layered bags two different component are used at the same time. Inner side is smooth and outer rough.
- 3 layered bags. Three layered bags contain two bags and the isolator between them. This gives the possibility to use different colours for outer bag and contribution.
3 layered bags are the most popular in food and garden industry.
Multi layered bags are mainly used for packaging and storing food: meat, vegetables and fruits.
